Every time, at this place, the only sound is car engine, but today there is very big angry roar is heard in peaceful morning. Why ? Because speedster get fucking angy against speed-trap plice. Why did he angry ? Did Police do wrong ? Probably not. But I can understand his anger very well.
Speedster must be completely wrong. Police must be right. But I dont know why I feel sympathy for this speedster.
Can you understand his anger ?
This fucking sucker is the cunning speed-trap operator, isn’t it ? What’s the fuck ! fucking dirty trap !
Speedster try to break through the police determent to close up to the speed-trap operator..
“fuck, fuck you, motherfucker !” “stop” “Shut up, Dont tuch me, cock sucker !”
“Hey, motherfucking police ! Listen, I drive to earn moeny for daily life ! ”
“Driving is my only job, I cannot do any other thing except driving.”
You just stupidly sitting to catch, but my life is driving. It’s very serious.
“Stop, stop STOP ! Whatever your reason, Your car was over speed actually. You ARE wrong.
at that time, speed trap operator standed up.
“Hey, fucking mother fucker ! Driving is my job, my life. To live, i must drive. You just keep trapping as a rutine stupidly. There is reason for each person everytime. You are too dirty. You are mindless motherfucker !
“I do speed-trap to catch the speedster according to trafic law. What’s wrong with mem, gentle man ?”
At that time, plice noticed me who keep taking photo. “Who are you ! fuck away ! ”
Speedster is completely wrong. Plice catch the trafic law violator according to the law. Police must be right………….even if police hide on the safety road where almost all driver tend to increase speed. and catch ever speedster.
But why speedster get angry so much ? he seem not to be able to explain his anger logically. But still I can understand his anger.
Comments
Speed limits in the US are artificially low, and as a consequence I’ve been on the receiving end of numerous speed traps. Yes, I understand his anger.
What’s happening in that last picture? It almost looks like he’s giving you the finger.
Also, why did you put mosiacs over their faces? I’ve never seen you do that before. Did they request it?

I am afraid of police
I can understand his anger. I think everyone can.
But speeders put everyone else in danger. Police are not right b/c they follow the law – the police are just instruments. The law is right b/c speeders can kill such people as children crossing the road; photographers in red suits laying in the middle of crosswalks in the street; ninjashotters driving their motorcycles.
You can understand their anger, but their reasoning is wrong.

Damn cocksuckers…
did they beat you up for taking photo’s and take you downtown to the whore-house police booth?

We have people who yell at the police for doing their job here in the USA as well. You are more compassionate than I.

Maybe the driver got angry because he thinks the government is wasting tax payer, like the driver himself, (btw, do police pay income tax in Japan?) money to buy speed-trap machines and hire police to arrest and make hard-working drivers pay fines. The driver felt that his hard-earned money is wasted.
Meanwhile, the police, maybe wanting to meet their “monthly quota,” and not to be scolded by the police chief, find ways to catch more people to keep their jobs to earn a living…
It’s all Bosses and Employees relationships in a working society…
=========from MasaManiA
Yes
Speed is dangerous.
If he got arrested, there must be a good reason.
At least he is not acting like some of the people in the US. Some people try to swear a the cop, tell him they will sue for ‘wrongful’ arrest, say they will sue for police brutallity (even if the cop has done nothing), call the cop racist (even if the cop is the same race, sometimes), then try to beat up the cop. Sometimes, they try to run away.
Many of these people seem to think the law should apply to everyone but themselves. I find that to be very self-centered behavior.

THank you for your interesting information.
And yes, this speedster never try to beat cop. and cop also. very peaceful fight ever.
“I fought the law, and the law won.
I fought the law, and the law won.”

Hmm…
Catching speeders on long stretches of empty road seems like a waste of time and just a way for the government to get money.
I want to see more police action against drunk drivers, those miserable pieces of crap!

Yes, I have lots of Gazette fans pictures. i will post in near future.
what’s the fuck! i hate police!
Cops, like all people, need to feel important. So they have to do SOMETHING besides sitting around being useless. I suppose they (cops and culprit) both are at fault due to their own Ego.
This is a good story. I’ve never seen anyone examine this kind of thing with photos before.
That guy was wrong to be speeding, but cops only trick people to get money from giving people fines. If they stood out in the open checking everyone’s speed, nobody would speed where the speed checkpoints are.
Police do an important job, but politics cause things like this, because the city needs a source of income, and the police get off on catching people. It’s easy to understand why he is angry even if he knows what he did.

I speeded before and crashed. My ribs broke and so was my brand new Audi TT. But I still feel lucky since i m alive and my gf was not on the car. The accident took me a year to recover.
I think police is doing the right thing, many people do not get the chance to learn this lesson before they crash to die.
========from MasaManiA
Yes, it must be so
The police just want his money (traffic ticket, aka, hidden tax), that’s all. So they can get payed. So they can get promoted.

It’s understandable if it’s in a dangerous area like a junior school or something. I don’t know if many people would cross the road at the place those pictures were taken.
I think that as a policeman, it’s much easier to bust an average shmuck for speeding than it is to bring justice upon a murdering peadophile(or do something else that might be worthwhile). It’s the way I’d do my job too, I’m a lazy, incompetent bastard.
Anyway, thanks for keeping me up past my bedtime again and making me tired, Masa. If I wasn’t going to get sacked before, I am now. (That’s not a bad thing).

The college I went to for a while was in a small town. It was so small that the cops were actually busting people for speeding on bicycles and horses.
At my last duty station, an MP (military police) followed my husband and I around the post until we got home, but he never stopped us. Come to find out, it was our neighbor playing a joke on us.

what a peaceful place !
In Singapore, if you argue and get rough with police, u go to jail with fine. So what do we do? just take the ticket, shut the mouth and hope it is not too expensive. On top of the fine, we have points that can be deducted. Once no more points, bye bye driving license. The traffic police here too are cunning. Most of the time, i am looking out for speed traps instead of the road o_O!
===========from MasaManiA
It’s sad.
what a police ‘bust’. This has to be connected to japans ultra-strict gun laws. since the speeder looks like an upstanding fellow (him having a gun is then unlikely) and cops aren’t really scared of him(no signs of junkie hulkism on the perps part). What I’m saying is, that although the pics show a fairly calm encounter; that same amount of contact and level of aggression between a similar young man and an officer in my country would have most likely have ended up in the pig preforming some pro wrestling moves on that speeder, and/or the use of mace and a tasser gun. I think that’s because ( at this time you must know I hate cops, so don’t get the wrong idea) in the u.s. were guns are so available that ANYONE a cop encounters at ANY time could have a mini uzi. That situation makes a cops job very dangerous, and results in no mercy and quick harsh judgements for any resistance or bodily contact,(which IS happening in your photos), on behalf of the citizen. Those pics look like a game of no-contact football. And lastly cars suck pedestrians should have the right of way all the time. , double, no triple then quad-whatever the speeding fines. Give bikes and walkers equal road space.make all lanes into car pool lanes . Thats right “take back the streets” and demand more green spaces.

Congratulation
About two years ago I was caught on a speed cam. I felt very bitter because I have 18 years of driving with no accidents. But I got caught out where the limits had been changed. So whenever I had the chance I made my feelings felt to the police. About one year ago, my wife’s car was written off by an idiot who was actually driving within the speed limit (50mph) but had failed to notice that the traffic was stopped because of massive congestion. The police were really not interested in this accident because it was too much hassle for them. I got really angry about it and had a big argument with one police officer and told him what I thought about police happy to catch people on camera but not bothering about people driving dangerously. This police guy said to me “Well if you were under pressure to get a result and knew where you could go to get it, what would you do..” That made me understand about speed camera operatives — a quick result and go home…
========from MasaManiA
Thank you for your story. yes, there maybe something big wrong in speed trap.
I don’t think that guy was driving at all he was just walking by and saw the cops sitting there being assholes and thought he’d chew them out for being the assholes that they are.
That being said hedoes have some balls don’t fuck with Japanese cops they have way to much power.I was pulled over by those cunts after I’d had a few beers one night and the asshole cop punched me.fuck that I punched the cunt right back and knocked him to the ground.
Boom all his pig mates were all over me like flies to shit. I spent the next two months in a Japanese jail not fun.But the yakuza guy in my cell had some real good stories.
=========from MasaManiA
You are exiting man
i remember, long time ago, a neighbour of my parents’ bought a car. his main job didn’t pay much so he used to do odd-jobs around the neibourhood to earn extra money to buy that car. on the first day that he drove his brand new car to work, he was excited, because it was his first real car and so he accelerated, you know, to see how cool the car was and all that. a man suddenly crossed the road and he couldn’t brake in time, so he ran over the man. the man died, he completely wrecked his car beyond repair, lost his license and had to go to court because he killed the man. it was very sad, because that man (the neighbour) was a pretty decent person who never really did anything wrong in his life. he made that one mistake…
so, even if it is your job, don’t go around speeding! that guy is probably very angry, but not at the police. maybe the police just triggered his anger? angry people tend to speed up when they drive. it’s all connected!

When people drive too fast, they are more likely to kill people.
People shouldn’t speed.

Speed limits here are in many cases absurdly low. So my question remains: who are the little girls that determine them?
What’s the point in owning a car if you’re not privileged to drive it like a Hymiewood stunt car driver?
Observing pansy-ass traffic laws kinda takes all of the fun out of it, doesn’t it?

Dear Mr Masa
I’m a Canadian male age 21 and I’ve been viewing your site for some time now. I have to say that I love this site and all the insite into Japanese culture you provide that we don’t normally hear about. I always speed, unless I’m in a residential area or school zone, I don’t want to hit any children. I was even speeding during my driving test and I still got my license. Angry speedster should move to Canada where speed trap is obvious and he can speed all he wants.

THank you for your opinion.
I rub you Masa–you fine Nihon-jin desu.
I ask only because I found in the second photo from the top, two people cycling towards you; but obviously in the second photo from the bottom, a man with a strawhat was riding to the counter direction.
I’ve been busted in Japan for speeding twice. Both times the cops were hiding behind bushes on the side of the road. What’s really more dangerous than me driving a little over the ultra-slow speed limit is cars parked on corners that block peoples vision, people going through red lights and people who turn without using their turn signals. I would like to see the cops crack down on stuff that would really make a difference.
We get hunted for this crap back in Holland. They hide those damn cameras in everything that you could possible find on the side of the highway…
Nice post Masa!

Where i come from there’s no such thing as speed traps. Sure, sometimes there would be the speedtrappers(although its like only once a year) but they’re so higly visible you could see them from miles away, so you could slow down in time.
But then major accidents are a very rare occurence back home, even rarer are deaths caused by accidents(if i remember correctly, there were only 7-8 major accidents recorded for 2004, one whole YEAR, with only a couple of them resulting in deaths).
In a country of 350,000 people with 70% of the population owning two cars or more on average, that’s not too bad now isn’t it?
