Night rail way is device of future city

masamania Uncategorized

masamania

Rail way becomme already one of primitive transportation in the 21st. Because every one can explain the mechanism how the train move and no rich man ride train. for example. although former millionare, Michel Jackson have his own rail way in his house, he never ride public rail way. He use more advanced transportation like a moon walker and nobody can explain the mechanism why he walk backwordly.
But if you came to tokyo and see the night rail way, you understand that rail way is the most rocking cool divece that show up the 21st city.
click the pciture to see more night rail way scene and feel the future.
P.S. Dont forget my site is recognised as “Not for safe work” page by moralist people. fuck you.

I love trains. To have trains is to have good infratructure.. too have good infrastructure is to have good government..to have goo government is to have train ticket. to buy ticket for JR line or Shinkansen is to have no money.. to have no money is to have bum life. To have Bum life is cool… so trains = bumlife = cool.

  10. Psycho Bun-Bun says:

I’d have to say at night, Tokyo is probably the most beautiful city in the world. Those lights illuminating the nightline is so gorgeous. Thank you for the photos. ^^

  11. tom says:

This is one of my favorite entries. The photos show the barest of things: unused infrastructure in megalopolis Tokyo. Strip away the trains and the taxis and the lights and all the other bullshit and only an island and people remain. The photos reminded me of the fact that people have built up all sorts of things, while at the end of the day the only things that really matter are the land and it’s inhabitants.
I agree w/you Masa. Moralists: fuck you!
Great posts. I always look forward to new entries.

These pictures are good – nice work! You’re getting talented with the camera, Masa. I have foreseen your future…

  14. vir-jin says:

You get on a train and then you have to wait. You can read newspaper or book, listen to music, work on your laptop, write keitai mails, surf the internet, watch other people waiting to arrive, or look outside the window.Or talk to a person with you. Maybe take a ninjashot. The time it takes to bring you from A to B is standing still and can be used or not be used. Trains are time out zones. Because you don’t do what you would do if you were not transported- it is transport prison with toilet and restaurant. That’s why Michael Jackson does the moonwalk. Thanks for riding 銀河哲理999, masa!

thank you for your interesting idea.

  15. brett says:

    ======from MasaMania
    your question is tricky.

  16. joey says:

Trains are chou kakkoii at night, but why do the trains stop at 1AM. I think it is a conspiracy so people have to take taxis at night. Taxis are fucking expensive bullshit though. When will the trains run all night???

  17. estacado says:

Nice pics masa. Did you get on to the train tracks to get this picture:
    http://masamania-com.check-xserver.jp/archives/pic/night_rail_way15.jpg
It’s seems impossible to get that angle by standing on the platform.

  18. CriNieRe says:

Good pictures as usual. You can get some more pics of japanese railways (mainly Tokyo) on my site http://speedyop.free.fr/daisuki/index.php?section=album&id=22
thanks Masa for your site 😉

  19. Brody says:

I agree with Joey. Tokyo is the coolest city in the world, but why the hell can’t I take a train after 1 am? Here in New York City, our trains aren’t as cool as yours, but at least we can ride them 24 hours a day. And here it only costs $2 and you can go anywhere in the city. In Tokyo, there’s like three different companies running the trains so you have to pay extra to transfer between some of the lines, and that is bullshit! Tokyo is an amazing city, but the subways need some work!

  20. Rence says:

Fkn amazing pictures, I love the one with the guy sitting at the rail crossing, with the blue sky at lit up cityscape in the background..
Such awesome city, so many awesome lights.. Masa, you should try making sound recordings of some of these places, they make the experience complete!
I took some photo’s of Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and some other places during my visits to Japan.. you can check them out on my site if you want… not so many cool nightshots as these though!

  21. kenji says:

    to joe and brody:
one theory is that the taxi and train companies have some sort of alliance. if the trains ran all night, the taxi companies wouldn’t make money.
don’t hold me on this though.
another more realistic theory is that to maintain japan’s high quality train service, they have to do very frequent maintainance on the trains and the tracks, which i often seen them do.
i really wish they did run longer though. especially on weekends. my izakaya nights wouldn’t been more stress-free.

  25. zelly bell says:

you are lucky to have trains. here in las vegas, nv, usa- there are no subways because of the caliche (a crust of calcium carbonate that forms on the stony soil of arid regions), and our lousy above ground train (the monorail) falls apart- a wheel once fell off and hit the ground. you can read about it here: http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/1-09012004-359027.html

    Hi Masa,
Most of these pictures are Shinjuku-Eki. Can you tell me and the other watchers what other stations and crossings you took pictures of?
I think I recognise some of them.
    I think coolest train now is Tsubame Shinkansen. Also, Most Kyuushuu trains are cool. Relay Tsubame has decadent black leather chairs and metal interior. It looks like a SM club inside ^^;;

  29. ContractKiller says:

Micheal Jackson moonwalks to hypnotize the children. It is a very delicate mind manipulation. Do not stare directly at his moon walker. If you do, you will loose your memory. When you wake up, your ass will hurt. Soon, you will have to sue Mr. Jackson for internatial rape.

I don’t think riding a train will make you a bum or cheap. In fact, train ride (shinkansen)are rather expensive in Japan. So riding train is fucking cool and it also proof that you have money (if not, you can’t get on the fucking train!!) By the way, nice pic Masa.

  45. Chronepsis says:

Your pictures reveal some interesting things about japan… It seems that because of the almost fatally busy lifestyle and the boderline heroic work ethic, there is no trace of life in these photos. The cityscapes are void of any proof of human life other than the structures themselves. Almost as if they are meant to be preserved and never used. Yet upon closer inspection the graffiti in the background of several of the photos show proof that somebody had been alive atleast for a moment. In many ways i think that the genious singer is like this graffiti.

Really nice pictures! Amazing colours. One thing I noticed when I went to Japan is tha colour of the night time city sky is different; here in the UK we have horribly yellowey light pollution from sodium streetlights, but in Tokyo the night time sky has a really futuristic purple glow. Interestingly, in recent years London is glowing less yellow and more blue/purple.
