This is one of the big scooter team meeting. about big scooter meeting, please see the former post about big scooter meeting. This time’s meeting is especially for specific scooter, Fusion meeting. Yes, these scooter is same model. But they customise their scooter differently !!
Fusion is very popular big scooter in Japan. this is Honda made. This model was extincted at once. but fever is never go out. We could not buy new one, so secound hand Fusion was dealed with expensive price. At that time this bike production, Honda start to produce this bike again. This explnation is maybe very boring for most people. But I think if you see the following picture, you must get exited, Click the “READ MORE” link ! and see the all Fusion pictures !

To me, any scooter will always just be a less cool motorcycle.
No matter how modified it is, you will always look a little bit more gay riding it with your knees together in front of you, than you would look astride a rumbling macho motorcycle.
I’m glad you’re back ! I always enjoy your stories and pictures . Honda cars are very popular in america . . .I owned a 1984 honda accord . what a great car it was ! I drove it 250,000 miles before it died .
To hoax,
Cars and scooters are two different things.
That picture of the white one in front of the Roppongi Tower is lovely. It kind of captures the essence of the scene.
Do own a scooter or motorbike yourself, Masa?

To Hoax,
1984 honda accord?
i got the same car with u i guess….
mind one was hatch back FF(front engine;front wheel power), how about u?
it had air-condition, power-steering and Automatical gear.
It is real nice coz itthe steering is so light that it is even lighter than the new cars. i can make a very fast steering with single hand. 😀
To Jim,
Yeah, motorcycles are more macho? Do you ride a Harley or a chopper? Macho in your leather? I never understood why people want to ride or drive anything looking like the guy from the Village People. There is a fine line between a biker and a Village People guy and a bondage freak. What’s more gay than that?
BTW, I own a vintage scooter. If you want to be like everyone else and look gay, ride a Harley. If you want to express your individuality, ride a scooter.
Arigato Masa for bringing fresh new stories every week. I’m a nihon-jin living in USA for 26 years and I sure miss the smell of Tokyo. But I can count on you to bring me back everytime I visit your site. I can almost smell it!

THank you
Well, of course you can be overtly gay about any vehicle, but just the way a person’s body looks upon a scooter seems a little prissy to me. I have had motorcycles, but not in a leathery gay-denial way, or even a colourful gay full-body leather jumpsuit way…Just your average honda from the 80’s to get around on.
Motorcycle, blah. Scooter, heck. I ride a moped. Not even a gasoline-powered moped. An electric moped. At my mom’s hospital, do you know what they call motorcycles? “Donorcycles”. It sure is kind of motorcyclists to donate so many organs to needy sick people.
These scooters look rather ridiculous. They look like they should have wings and fly.

You are ecorogical thinking
Hey, those look pretty cool! Very comfortable ride I’m sure.
tan chidas las motos, pero nomas faltaron las nenas sobre ellas

Hey Masa, I love your site. I live in Calgary which is a cold city in Canada where everybody drives huge SUVs to be “safe”. Like they want the biggest car possible in case they are in an accident, then only the other poor bastard will die due to their poor driving. Really they are just pigs to me! Anyhow my girlfriend and me both want to get scooters. There is this kind of vespa-thing which is called a Vino, I think it’s made by honda. Anyway right now we just ride our bikes. Cheers, keep up the truth photography…

THank you and let’S safe drive !
i’m a japanese, respect old stuff and have interest in new stuff, but i must say that looks really gay.
scooters just suck.
people like to have fun with their stuff and their style in japan. But i sure see a lot om bmw motorbike posses on the road in the mountains. Those guys have a lot of disposable income. The japanese have more fun fun with their stuff. In the west, the image is much more macho-oriented which goes to show the overall homophobia of the place. (They are afraid of the unknown in their own sexuality so they compensate by adapting a macho image to hide behind) Some people call big trucks and suvs penises because macho men buy the biggest truck to compensate for their fear of having a small penis, so of you them them driving around in a big truck but never using it for work you can shout out “nice penis!” Japanese and other asian dudes foster more femininity in their styles of dress, body language and etc, which may appear prissy but is actually symbolic of security in sexual self-image, which thus indicates higher sophistication in those areas. Fuck you!
Mando, lay off on the Womens’ Studies courses. Boys like toys, it’s got nothing to do with homosexuality.
thats true
I’ve allways wanted to get a mid-80’s honda elite, and finish it in brushed steel like a delorian. Put a flux capacator on the back, trick it out so I can reach 80mph, and hello time-travel! 🙂
-Yours
w00t! Thanks Masasan! Great images. I have a Fusion (’86Honda Helix) here in the USA. It is VERY hard to get custom parts here. The American scooter market is still under developed, but things are changing. It didn’t take very long for us to hear that Yamaha will be bringing the Maxam here in just 3 months.
PS> Jim. I don’t ride because I want someting fast or loud or scary. I ride a scooter because it’s fun and practical… My scooter only cost me $2000 (used) and has a trunk. I can’t help it if geeks have more Neurotransmitters than Testosterone. Doesn’t matter really. This argument is old as dirt. Soon enough people with that “more macho than thau” attitute will be extinct just like the neanderthal.

Too bad car tax in Japan is expensive T_T . Great site masa keep up with good work. By the way you dont post own face picture? How can I recognize u when I see u in Japan 😛
Huh! Damn cool man. I like it. If you touch it with air brush it’s really cool. Carry on. Go go go!!!
Harley might not go 120 flat out, (Except for my FLHX enhanced with screamin’ eagle parts and a stroker kit) but they are certainly worth more than any jap bike at any given point. You cannot buy a 1994 jap bike at 2500 (you’d be lucky to find a 1994 jap bike) and sell it for 8000 as I did with a 1994 Fat Boy soft tail which took a few accessories and some polish. Harley is the epitome for hardcore, scooters are the epitome for homosexuality.
i learn motor bike is cool but i scare dangerous so i learn car but i scare car dangerous so i tink i ride a girl safer. but is girl safe?

Girl is dangerous
scooters are for fags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good on gas though.
Why do they have such low windshields? In USA they use high windshields.

it’s just japanese trend. there are no other reason.
I wanted to come to japan and buy a Ymaha 250cc Scooter travel for a month and then ship it home. Does anyone know of a Dealer or used Honda helix (fusion)
Hey all
does anyone know where to buy all the cool custom
parts for the fusion on the enternet please help me peace & love from denmark
Nice to see some interest in unusal stuff! Glad the web isn’t only 69 camaro’s.
I’ve been riding Harleys for 12 years, had a Ducati 915 superlight, done some bracket (car, V8) dragracing and now I ride a 50cc scooter! And it’s way more fun to boot! Granted, I also have a car, fast one too, but for in-city driving, and especially parking and getting close to the things you want, nothing beats the scooter. Just ordered a 70cc kit for it, so the power will be adequate. Just an allaround way better way to get around, and way faster when you live in a traffic congested city with lousy and expensive parking.
I am from singapore, use to own a fusion (1988 Helix)…I am far from gay, its a great and comfortable roundabout. My old 2003 Fazer could give a “macho” Harley fits in the straights. Well thats what you get when you pit 50′ old tech (read Old geezer)against the modern bike. Just admit it, a harley looks good…. just like a mod fusion, so all and all they are both the same.
P.S A fusion is definately more comfortable then the vibrator of a harley.
