    The “home-made” bikes were entertaining, probably dangerous to drive.

  4. Guhji says:

    how much maza for the motorcycle?
    Technorogy = Technology 😛
    and do you have a motorcycle or car?

  5. AmericanFag says:

    Its called a chopper here in america. there pretty common, even a couple of tv shows over the customizing of bikes

  6. brett says:

    are these bike common in tokyo? very good article masa, you bring truth.
    ============from MasaManiA
    Yes, comon.

  7. rolly says:

    In American hospitals, they call these “donorcycles”. It’s a pun in English.

  8. SpaceChief says:

    when are they going to make bikes that transform into robots like in anime?

  9. Morihei says:

    When I went to the Dominican Republic they had tons of supped up and costomized bikes it was cool seeing all the modle they have down there. Hey Masa do you know that practicaly every car that I had seen was of a japanese modle its wierd seeing that when that country is located so close to the USA but with most things that sell japanese cars can be cheep and efficient.

  10. Mike says:

    Masa, at least your site is loading faster than it used to – that’s good use of technorogy if ever I saw it; bound to bring us peaceful balance on earth!

    But to keep faster access needs lots of money. it’s tough for my purse.

  11. Fuck Hello says:

    woow bikes!
    your site is faster now. GOOD! too bad it’s expensive and all… but maybe if you skip eating you can afford the quick site? (it’s popular to be thin these days)
    ===========from MasaManiA
    is it american joke or serious advice ? anyway, thank you.

  12. Izzy O. says:

    Masa, that’s such a joke man lol He’s definetly kidding, though we are all glad the site loads faster. Keep up the good work man 😀
    BTW, that first guy is definetly overcompensationg for something XD

  13. Nikki says:

    How much would something like this http://masamania-com.check-xserver.jp/archives/pic/new_balance_bike03.jpg be in Japan? I think I might buy on when I go there.
    ===============from MasaManiA
    about US$3000.

  14. Fuck Hello says:

    about the comment above, on that you should skip eating to afford this site: It was a serious advice. I don’t do american jokes. only swedish jokes, and we don’t have any humor.

    Weaden is scarely country. But I like Volvo.

  15. Gaijin_Spain says:

    Hola Masa!
    Cool article!! In Spain we love motorbikes too, its very popular, i love them too because cars are like metal cans stucked in traffic jams :-))
    Maybe someday you can write something about the motorbike gangs in Japan, or maybe the Yakuza(maybe its too dangerous.. :-)) oh and what about the Yamamba’s? A blog from a Spanish guy in Tokyo talked about them recently, they are hot and crazy :-D!! http://kirai.bitacoras.com/index.php?cat=36
    Keep doing this great site
    Adios!!
    ============from MasaManiA
    Yes, I try it.

  16. VXO says:

    The cycle with the rear wheel extended is pretty neat. The American “chopper” has the front wheel extended, but I guess they wanted to try it the other way around…

  17. coffin joe says:

    Masa do you know what kind of bike that is in the 3rd pic? I really like the look of that one.
    ===========from MasaManiA
    The name of these style bike is called “Ronsui”. It’s popular in you ng people recently.

  18. Dennis says:

    I remember during my three year stay in Japan, the people who drove these things were the same little f***ers that kept everybody up at all hours of the night making as much noise as they possibly could. I hope they all end up with a severe case of road-rash.

  19. Whybike.com says:

    I see all these wierd looking bikes and wonder what we are missing out on here in the US. Of course not all of them are my taste but I like variety.

  20. J.E. says:

    JESUS F CHRIST! The bike on the 3rd picture(The black motard) is definitely my dream bike!
    Every time I hear about Japan and motorcycles I think about the bosozoku(Japanese youth biker gangs)
    Were there any bosozoku involved in this event?
    ==============from MasaManiA
    THis is not event. I take a picture in town.
    third picture’s buke style is pupular now in Japan. this style is named, “Lon-sui ( means Long swing arm)”

  21. coolstone says:

    very very very fucking very fucking cool!
    fucking sweet!
    I am at a loss for words

  22. bob says:

    What kind of bike do you own masa?
    ==========from MasaManiA
    250 cc scooter

  23. Fargo says:

    The springer forks on the first pic go on for miles! That engine looked like a water cooled v-twin but couldn’t realy tell. Hell even the scooters looked tough! Maybe I should go on a two wheeled pilgramage and compare chopper notes. Are choppers as popular in Japan as they are in the states or are they considered outlaw. Great website and keep up the work!
