masamania Uncategorized

masamaniaDo you know the old philosopher, Diogenes? When he was lying on the street, King ask Diogenes what can he help him ? and then, Diogenes tell king fuck away because king block sun shine. This is famous episod in book worms.
WHen i walking on the tokyo street, I met lying man. He seem to be present Diogenes !

Ambitious young people always overstrain. They are so ambitious that they play music on the middle of street. They are so ambitious that they sing loudly. They are so ambitious mightly that they make us so tired.
I hate ambitious young generation. give me break !

He looks very comfortable, but he is lying on the sidewalk… O_o

  3. Zato-Ichi says:

The difference with America is that no one has any respect for homeless people. Poor education means they never heard of Diogenes. He represents everything Americans are not: anti-materialistic, critical of power, and devastatingly honest.

  4. Holiday says:

Looks like he is doing exactly what he wants to do just now. Rare enough today. Really rare.

  5. Shiyupantsu says:

What is he doing there? Is he homeless? Or is he just enjoying himself? Over here in M’sia only homeless and drunk people lie in the streets.

I feel sorry for this guy for some strange reason. I live in New York Ciy, and if you see someone like that laying on the ground, you would usually see a bunch of bags full of clothes, empty soda cans, and other things, followed by an engulfing stench emitting from the surrondings. Poor dude, someone should get him a pair of pants.

  16. vir-jin says:

    masa,
he gives us relaxation and happiness because he does exactly what he wants to do. he is free.
when we look at him we feel his freedom. That’s the message of Diogenes. He tells us to be free.
If you don’t have anything you can’t loose anything. That’s pure happiness.

  24. JaneDoe says:

I live near Chicago and my friend once was playing on the street with his band for the first time. There was a homeless guy who sat near where they were playing. When they finished their first song he clapped, as well as after the second song and every song after that. Afterwards, my friend tried to give the homeless man money because the homeless man was so gracious to clap after the songs, but the homeless man refused, and said that hearing the music was enough of a gift, and then the homeless man just stood up, took his bag and walked away. I agree with you that young people nowadays just concentrate on ways that they can become more successful (or if you live in the US…high) or get more money and things like that. But is it not better to be happy and homeless, than to be corrupt and well-off? I think we can learn from a lot of the homeless people out there!
