Creative commuter never waste time even in crowded train

sketch_man13.jpg
Japanese commuter train is famous for the very fucking crowdness.
the reason why Japanese train crowd so mush is that lots of people dont notice their unnecessary movement. Jap just obey stupid custom. and Jap never doubt what they are doing. It’s sometime very ridiculous for the outsider watcher’s eye. Japanese people’s feature seemed to have never changed from WWII.. but at least, crowded commuter train never kill chinese, korean and other world people.(except train accident) in stead of that, Jap must kill their time in the crowded train nowdays.
Popular past time in crowded train is reading book(NewsPaper, Magazine), playing portable game(PSP, Nintendo DS), fart without sound (but moisture smell) and touch the female boobs (by shoulder to pretend the accident touch. this activity is called “Chikan”. this is of course illegal. but for lots of Japanese shy business man, commuter train is only oppotunity when they can touch real woman. but if they are found their sinful action, they are arrested. it’s really battle between sexual desire and raw. this strict situation generate incrediblely creative way of touching woman. and NinjaShotter.
and this time I find out the very legally creative commuter in crowded train

I dont know these guy really need to ride on this crowded train or just seeking the opotunity to touch woman’s body.

Oh, this guy also reading book for his past time ?

No, He is not ordinally reading people in this crowded commuter train.

He is skecthing in crowded train.

He is drawing in crowded train.

You will dont know how much crowded this train.

He never waste his time by just standing, and noiseless farting.

We can do anything even in this fucking situation.

He is still drawing.

His name is artist who is legally creative man.

In the some fucking crowded train, he maybe still drawing.

Heh, I used to draw (amoungst other things) on the train to uni. It’s quite hard to control a stylus in a moving train, that guy seems to be handling it well though.

I feel sad for the shy buisnessman who can only touch a womans body on a crowded train. Maybe they need that in order to survive?
Does it never happen, that women touch the men on the crowded train?
Have no woman touched you on a train Masa? XD

Everybody touch each other unconciously in crowded train.
I hope this artis sketch touch your mind.

The crowding doesn’t look worse than London or Paris. In France, a person who rubs women in crowded subway cars is called a “frotteur”.
    ======From MasaManiA
THank you for your information, next time, please tell me how to do “frotteur”.

    He is fucking brilliant!
PS: There are women only trailers now in Tokyo trains! Masa, can you report about women only trains? (I know it might be hard for you to get into one)! ;)

I wonder where else he sketches? If he draws even on a crowded train, he must draw nearly all the time! He’s surely an excellent artist thanks to all his practice.

This sketch artist is interesting. Thanks for posting about his crowded train art.
As to businessmen who do Chikan, I think they’re pathetic. They’re too weak to get the real thing, so they grope teenage girls on the train.

It looks like Seoul between 8:30 – 9:00 on the green line going to Kyodae Station. I only wish there was English signs in the subway and that the Japanese signs were *correct*!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Masa is BY FAR the best photojournalist in Japan. This fine photo essay is another reason why. It touched my mind just like the artist’s sketch.
PS: I wonder if the woman realized she was being sketched? Her slightly irritated expression in the second-to-last photo of her suggests she might have been. Then again, maybe it was just her reaction to the artist’s soundless, but moist, farts.
PPS: And I also wonder whether the artist went home and masturbated to his image of the woman?

THank you. and I dont think she notice this sketcher. And I think this man jarking off not by his sketch but my porn film.
    But this is my opinion.

One time on the bus, during the jerk of sudden acceleration I was caught unaware and was sent reeling, and in an effort to prevent myself from falling all over some people , i quickly grabed what I could, that something was a couple handlefulls of a hookers booty. Luclily for me her pimp was there to. Don’t worry he understood what had happened and politely explained that, that ass was for sale, and that i must pay before doing that next time.

Silent farting is a refined art that has thus far eluded me.
My farts are always very loud. They make me proud. The louder they are, the more pride I feel.
As for touching women’s breasts: Do shy Japanese women ride crowded trains hoping someone will discreetly message their luscious bosoms, Masa?

    Interesting behavior.

That’s how I used to spend most of my time on the bus last year, drawing passengers, not chikan, heh.
It’s hard to draw while moving, not only because of the bumps but because when people see you drawing them they try hard to not notice.

Just came across the site, love it! Ive been living in Japan for 3 years now..I love the point made how many Japanese are so serious they dont even notice things could be done easier/better in a different way…its too hard to break fucking customs in Japan! I think its pretty hillarious…anyway, keep up the work! 頑張って

And make drawings of the places you make photos of. Well if the sketching is too difficult then I will just bring my camera and do the same as you.
so is it possible to meet you?
